This Week's Update [6/14/15] - Rain Go Away!

[The Weekly Update is an email that was started in the fall of 2010 to keep family and friends informed of my medical condition and has continued as a review of family activities.  Written by Zelma and edited by Steve. Working on adding past issues to the blog.]

Hi all,

It was another busy week catching up after vacation.  Steve's house is under contract - fingers crossed that the buyer makes it cleanly through the mortgage approval and we head to closing.  I spent a long day on Thursday in Victor coordinating a lot of final things on the house.  Best estimate is we have a couple of more trips to collect the final remaining things from the house sometime this week.

The rain has been on-going this week - probably one of the wettest streaks I can remember having.  There is a corner of our yard that always gets a little soggy in the rainy season.  This year it has turned into a full-fledged water feature.  It was deep enough to not only attract 2 ducks this week, but they actually went for a swim!!!

Saturday, Steve and I did our 2nd annual bike tune-up for Camp Abilities in Brockport.  It is a week long summer sports camp for children who are blind or have visual disabilities.  Fortunately the weather cooperated and we had a dry morning to tune-up 14 bikes they use in the program.

Rain and house selling are still hampering mileage - but at least we got in a couple of rides this week.  Miles for the week are 25, miles for 2015 are 1,595, and total miles are 13,849.

Take care,

Zelma
