Hi all,
We saw quite a diversity of weather this week - warm, cool, warm with spectacular thunder and lightening storms - not sure why these need to occur at 4 am on Saturday morning. :-)
The week began with the Erie Canal Annual Bike Tour coming through on Monday. This is an annual event with [600] riders starting in Buffalo and spending the week pedaling the canal all the way to Albany [about 400 total miles]. The oldest rider on this year's tour was apparently 91 - makes me feel like an underachiever. Steve took video as riders passed by our stairs and posted it to YouTube.
Mid week the temperatures dropped way back with highs in the 60's but by the weekend it was hot and humid. Early Saturday morning was one of the most spectacular / scary thunderstorms I've seen since I have lived in Rochester. Growing up in the mid-west, we always had plenty of lightening storms, but they have been, until the last year, a rare occurrence in Western NY.
Picture for this week is from our ride on Saturday where we went all the way to Lyell Avenue.
Miles for the week are 79, miles for 2015 are 1,932 and total miles are 14,186.
Take care,
Zelma
